RMBAKER LLC is a full service well logging provider, with both video and geophysical capabilities to a depth of 4000 feet.

RMBAKER LLC provides technical support for North American mineral exploration programs, with the capacity to provide support for local mining operations.

  • Expertise in the mapping of sinkholes and the identification of “sinkhole activity” as it relates to property insurance investigations.
  • Expertise in the performance and review of geophysical surveys; including ground penetrating radar, multi-electrode resistivity imaging, and 4-electrode Wenner soundings.
  • Expertise in the performance, logging and analysis of standard penetration test (SPT) borings and cone penetration test (CPT) borings.
  • Broad experience with identifying karstic landforms, karstic processes and assessing risk factors for sinkhole formation.
  • Broad experience in fundamental geosciences investigations that integrate geological, geophysical, hydrogeological and geospatial concepts.
  • Broad experience in mineral assessments and mineral exploration programs.
  • Broad experience in borehole geophysical logging equipment, data collection and data analysis.

January 2004 – present

Principal Consultant-Owner and Managing Member

  • Provide consulting services with specialties in sinkholes, geophysics and mineral exploration.
  • Perform subsurface evaluations using ground penetrating radar(GPR) and electrical resistivity imaging (ERI). Routinely employ advanced GPR and ERI data processing techniques and 3D modeling to solve complex subsurface spatial problems.
  • Perform geophysical well logging and well videography surveys. Provide interpretation of well log data.

January 2002 – January 2004 (contracted from July 2001 – January 2002)

Associate Consultant

  • Project manager for subsurface evaluations to investigate geological hazards such as deleterious soil conditions and sinkholes.

The Franklin Co., Inc. contracted to Dupont May 1998 – July 2001

Project Geologist-Exploration

  • Principal investigator of Quaternary coastal placers in northeastern Brazil, covering 1.1 million acres. This involved the coordination of multiple resources, Brazilian federal agencies and international law firms.
  • Evaluated heavy mineral placer assays and reserves in Florida, Australia, Ecuador, Brazil and the western United States.

Mapping the Naples Canal

Working under the direction of the Archaeological and Historical Conservancy, we mapped the location of an ancient buried canal in Naples.  The canal was constructed and used by local tribes, primarily the Calusa.  Read about the project and see some of the GPR results at naplesindiancanal.org.
